FromSoftware, Inc.(株式会社フロム・ソフトウェア) is a Japanese video game company founded in November 1986 known primarily for being the developers of the Armored Core, Otogi, and Tenchu series.

Games

With thirteen titles developed, Armored Core is FromSoftware's largest franchise. The most recent title, Armored Core: For Answer or Armored Core 4A, was released on September 16, 2008. Currently, Armored Core 5 and Dark Souls are in production for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Besides Armored Core, FromSoftware is well known for the Otogi and Tenchu series and has strong ties to Sega, which distributes many of their titles overseas. FromSoftware is also the developer of the Xbox 360 game Chromehounds, as well as the role playing games Enchanted Arms and King's Field. In 2009, they released Demon's Souls, which brought them unprecedented exposure in North America.
