Rand Ferrer was once a woodsman on the main continent but traveled to Melanat Island to aid his uncle, Harris Carvito, in finding Crystals in the mines. He is a hard worker but struggles to find any crystals to sell and make his living. He tips off the player that there is a magical bell somewhere on the island that will sound when you are nearing certain types of crystals.
